What Makes Sales Fuel Culture So Unique?

We at Sales Fuel hear the same thing a lot from our new starters when they’ve been a few weeks, it’s always a variant of “I haven’t worked anywhere like this before”.  So, we thought we would take a look at some of the things that make our culture so unique and asked our staff what they thought.

The first thing that they said was that they feel like our business is being run the right way.  We try to make sure that everyone within the business knows exactly how they are contributing to our success and our growth and show that in as many ways as possible.  It’s always been important to us that everyone in the business understands that no one within the company is more important than anyone else and we make sure that when we have wins as a business, everyone wins together.  There have been more than a few early finishes on a Friday in the summertime to go for after work drinks as a reward for everyone having a massive week in terms of leads generated and appointments booked!

Our directors don’t hide themselves away in offices or a boardroom every day like they do in other many other companies, instead they work closely with everyone here on a daily basis.  It may not seem like a big thing, but knowing that you can talk to your director when you have a suggestion or something to discuss and they will not only listen to you, but act on it with you makes a big difference to staff morale.

We also have made the conscious effort to make our office an enjoyable place to work, and that’s something that our staff also said they appreciate too.  Whether it’s early finishes on a Friday, eggs at easter, charity bake-offs and even celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee and the King’s Coronation, it’s important that there is plenty of time to unwind as well as work.  We even have regular office dogs that everyone loves to pet and treat the whole office to lunch on a Friday.

What we found the most when speaking to our staff is that it’s the small things that add up to big things and that is what really makes our culture here so unique.  Something as small as not having a dress code for the office gives everyone the freedom to be comfortable at work, and that is what’s crucial for us.

Ultimately, we know that work is somewhere that we spend most of our time as adults, and we think that making the place that everyone comes to work as happy a place as possible reflects in the effort that we all put in every day, which in turn only leads to more success for our business, which is built by our team.  Some people might not agree with our methods, but our staff are happy, and our results speak for themselves.
